A Health Coach is a wellness authority and supportive mentor who motivates individuals to cultivate positive health choices. Health Coaches educate and support clients to achieve their health goals through lifestyle and behavior adjustments. A Health Coach achieves Mastery understanding lifestyle changes. A Health Coach is really the ideal professional who knows how to help people make habit changes that effect the top three lifestyle diseases: obesity, diabetes, heart disease.

What is a lifestyle challenge?
It’s the line between an eating disorder, an official diagnosed eating disorder, and a disordered relationship with eating, food, or your body, so much so that feeling comfortable in your skin is a daily challenge. This results in cravings, chronic dieting, overeating, emotional eating, compulsive and binge eating, and body image issues. While some of these lifestyle changes are improved by changes in nutrition and lifestyle changes, they are at their core driven by habitual thought patterns and beliefs. In other words, they are not about food.
What is the difference between a good habit and a lifestyle change?
Habits, even good ones, can be broken. A lifestyle change is forever.

A Health Coach is not there to analyze you, interpret your behavior, do “therapy” or even help you understand why it is that you do what you do. A Health Coach’s job and mission is to help you understand how you are creating your experience, and then how to create a different experience, enhancing your satisfaction with life.
